In 2012 I left Halliburton taking with me 37 years of experience; within those 37 years, I worked in cementing and fracturing with fracturing being the main focus. Only 6 year years doing cementing development in the mid 70's and the remainder of my career in fracturing fluid development. Included in fluid development was the pioneering of cryogenic fluids, (foams). Phil Harris and I worked together for 28 years doing numerous "first in the industry" developments. Some of those were Nitrogen, C02, aqueous foam fluids. These include linear gel liquid phase, as well as, crosslinked gel foams. We also developed ultra high gas phase foams know as "mist frac", containing up to 95% gas phase, (95 quality). Mixtures of CO2 and Nitrogen, and propane gas phase were tested and introduced.Another industry question was answered when Phil discovered the mechanism of borate chemistry vs pH. This allowed us many new borate fluid discoveries and understanding of control and behavior predictions of this, now, one of the standard fracturing process fluiss. I did years of testing pH theory and borate fluid performance resulting in new fluid systems.Soon after leaving Halliburton, I established a private oilfield laboratory, "Heath Oil Field Laboratory LLC." and teamed with Brad Todd, (also separated from Halliburton), an engineer, with expertise in well completions. He has 30 years of experience with 17 years over seas.I now contract with him, (Completion Science LLC.) exclusively, and have relocated into a 6000 sq foot facility. we are concentrated on, but not limited to, biodegradable refrac diverters.
