Founding Dean Of EngineeringHouston Baptist University Aug 2017 - May 2019Houston, Texas AreaAfter BS and PhD degrees (Biomedical Engineering), and 33 years on the faculty, at Louisiana Tech University, the Lord called me to retire from and place and a position that I loved, and to accept a new call. I am now working to help Houston Baptist University start an engineering college that supports its "Ten Pillars" vision and long-term plan of HBU, and provides a missions and ministry opportunity that is important and significant. I remain an "ever loyal" Bulldog, but now am serving in the midst of Huskies (and hurricanes).I hope to remain friends with all of the alumni and colleagues and former students at Louisiana Tech and across the nation, and would love to talk to anyone about the plans and opportunities at HBU. We are busy designing programs (e.g. cyber engineering, electrical engineering, computer science), and hope to begin recruiting faculty and students very soon.
