Involved in every aspect of constructing Superfund remediation projects to include proposal development, bidding, writing all work plans, developing project schedules, ordering materials, managing on-site labor, preparing daily and weekly written summaries of work accomplished, billing, change order negotiation, and project close-out reports. The company has been notified it will be included in 2020’s Inc. Magazine list of fast-growing private companies. The main focus of Stan’s work has been writing and executing work plans for the company’s environmental remediation projects including:• Managing construction for the remediation of over 200-acres of Kansas mine waste that involved relocating 1.4 million CY of material and returning wastelands into productive farm ground. • Managing construction for the remediation of 1,066 residential properties in a small Kansas town that was once the home to three large lead and zinc smelters. The work includes digging dirty material, hauling it to the local landfill, replacing the excavated area with topsoil, grading each property, and then placing sod over all work areas. Prior to the start of work Stan developed the workplan for the project including having the entire city mapped, planning the sequence of work, hiring all labor for the work, conducting pre-excavation and post excavation meetings, billing, and project close-out. Stan has also guided the company through constructing a shooting range for the Missouri National Guard, removing sediment from Ft. Leonard Wood’s water treatment plant, the site work for Carthage Missouri’s new football stadium, two coal mine closure projects, and two small state funded yard remediation projects.
Poplar Bluff, Missouri
Founded a civil engineering company in a small rural city in southeast Missouri and grew it into an Inc. 500 company with four offices and a staff of up to 73 engineers, land surveyors, surveyors, inspectors, and materials testing technicians. Stan guided the company as it developed several lines of business. It started as an engineering company specializing in getting rural water and sewer utility districts funded, designed, and constructed. The firm was instrumental in getting sewer districts started in several of Missouri’s lake communities as well as around the fringes of developing suburban areas. It soon expanded into construction materials testing and became a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers validated testing lab in Missouri and, then, in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. The company has been involved in the building of levees from St. Louis to New Orleans along the Mississippi river. It was also the QA lab for the auxiliary spillway for Table Rock Dam near Branson, Mo, and executed several materials testing work orders for the Missouri Department of Transportation. Schultz attained his Professional Land Surveyor License in 1999 and used it to guide the company into land surveying. The company offered its services to a variety of projects including:• Accomplishing the design survey and constructing staking for a 345-kv electric transmission line that stretched over 50 miles across southern Missouri. • Accomplished the design survey for about half of the 48-mile U.S. Highway 67 corridor between Fredericktown and Poplar Bluff, Missouri. • Accomplished the construction staking for the new Branson Airport; one of the nations largest privately held airports. • Construction surveying for over $200 million worth of levees, floodwalls, and floodgates in the New Orleans area after Hurricane Katrina. • Construction staking for over 100 lane miles of new highway construction in Missouri including Highways 67, 65, 13, 72, and 5.
