In 2019 I updated my skills and knowledge on Digital Communications, Social Media, and different platforms for better business Communications. In spring I studied e.g. Elements of AI and Phenomenon in Social Media. Also, I took part in arranging the first ever WordCamp Nordic by the WordPress community. In summer I supported and coordinated communications and media relations in Finland for an international charity campaign. I managed to reach media coverage with over 2.3 million people. Then in fall, I e.g. completed a 26-modules Google certificate about Digital Marketing.In 2020 the COVID19 hit us hard. However, I took part in a book writing project and signed a new job contract.When open for new challenges, my hobbies provided me a platform to develop my skill set and experience in PR & Communications. I e.g. wrote newsletters and articles, took photos, edited texts, shot videos, and run social media and press relations. At the Finnish airport corporation Finavia (21 airports around Finland), my main responsibilities included PR & MEDIA RELATIONSAs a contact person for press around the world I conversed with journalists, wrote articles, and set up interviews on various topics. I also planned, executed and hosted press trips and press events. In fall 2017 I was in charge of the PR for a 19-times-awarded #LIFEINHEL campaign (see link below) with a global media reach of over 2.4 billion people.Once a month, I took care of Finavia's 24/7 Media Desk. Here I served press with their requests over Finavia's 21 airports in Finland. Of course, I gave my assistance to press and my colleagues also when not on duty.FINAVIA.FI & SOCIAL MEDIAAs a Chief-Editor I led content production on one of the most visited websites in Finland. We fully renewed the site in H2/2017 (http://awards.ixda.org/entry/2019/finavia-experience/). The National Audit Office (NAO) is Finland's Supreme Audit Institution which operates in affiliation with the Parliament. It audits the state's finances, monitors and evaluates fiscal policy and oversees party and election funding.At NAO of Finland, I worked as the Head of Communications Team and a Member of the Extended Management Board. My responsibility areas were internal and external communications of the Office, as well as publishing. My tasks included planning, coordinating and implementing the Office's communications. I managed media communications, and headed and executed communications and web-based development projects. I handled all media contacting for the Office, and executed with my team newsletters, information and stakeholder events, and web communications. When I was running communications in the Helsinki Bailliage of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, the Helsinki Bailliage was the biggest of 11 bailliages in Finland with some 550 members and around 20 businesses with a Chaîne plaque. The Bailliage organized 20 events yearly.I was in charge of member communications for professionals and amateurs, for individuals and the plaque businesses. As a board member, I participated in the overall blueprint planning and drafted communications and marketing plans for each activity. However, the biggest part of my responsibility area was to ensure up-to-date, correct and inspiring information flow in different channels - especially on our newsletters, homepages and in social media - through content providing with texts, pictures and videos. I also took care of press relations and helped organizing events.In 2015 I was invited to join the World Chaîne Day Committee when a Finnish originated concept went global. I took part e.g. in drafting the marketing and communications strategy for the Day, different kind of guidelines, Q&A's, releases, templates etc. for the good of 25.000 members in 80 countries. During the Day we connected different events around the world through social media with over 35.000 individuals reached. In the end of this 24h event, 75% of all social media postings went through my hands. I was awarded for my efforts taking the Day worldwide. In 2016 I was again heavily involved in the Day's social media postings supporting all participants all over the world with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. From February 2014 untill June 2016, I used my skill set and experience for the good of my hobby associations.

At Gemalto my tasks varied over a whole spectrum of MarkCom with emphasis on internal, corporate and change communications at the Finnish site with 380 employees in 3 companies. In addition, I had responsibilities in hospitality & events and in business travel as a Travel and Hospitality Manager. Working as the only communications professional since 2006 in Finland and reporting in a matrix organization to different managers in Finland and abroad, I had broad freedom in planning, managing, executing and developing my responsibility areas in co-operation with a global MarkCom network. For example, I managed to multiply intranet monthly visits by over 150-fold. I was twice awarded by the corporate top management for my project management skills. The first acknowledgement I received from making a manufacturing site's inauguration day with around 700 guests a success. When an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity rose after years of extensive working, I decided to have a year off. I travelled, made new friends and learnt new skills like cooking and baking. It was a very different year for a business-driven person.

At Nissan Nordic I worked first as a PR and Communications Coordinator at the HQ and then as of 04/2008 as a Communications Manager in the Finnish country office. I built up company’s communications function from scratch with a Communications Director, drafted strategies and budgets for activities, established and led internal - especially cross-functional - communications in the area, and managed external communications in Finland. I put lots of emphases on creating a positive media coverage and managed to exceed all expectations with the Equivalent Advertising Value of over 1 MEUR annually in Finland alone in the era before social media.During a transition period of 5 months between different Communications Directors I also coordinated the whole Nordic Communications work. At The Finnish Fair Corporation I was in charge of exhibitor and visitor marketing as well as media relations within travel and sports related fairs (Matka, the biggest travel fair in Northern Europe with 80.000 visitors and 1.400 media reps in 4 days; Skiexpo, the biggest winter sports fair in the Nordic Countries with around 50.000 visitors and 350 media reps in 3 days; and golf, bicycle, outdoor and wellness exhibitions). At Hansel, I was involved in formulating and implementing strategies for communication and brand management. My job ranged over external and internal communications as well as marketing. Within external communications the main areas of responsibilities were interest group relations and PR, extranet and internet pages, event management and an e-magazine. In internal communications the biggest tasks were intranet content creation management and overall development. I worked as an information analyst in this international Business Survey and Marketing Research Company. My job was to analyse and to translate numerical databases into reports and recommendations in both print and e-versions. I also developed and managed reporting systems and churned out our customer & employee newsletters.
