Leadership role in the formation of a new business unit for HP Enterprise offering Digital M&A services to clients. Core to the new practice, was a new SaaS platform that would drive a repeatable methodology, reduce excel files, and create a digital “clean room” for clients in a private cloud. Responsible for design and build of the technology platform from concept to product in 6 months. HPEDNA is a multi-tenant, cloud application hosted on Azure, developed with a global engineering team. I led a product and engineering team of 60+HC in Shanghai and 5 architects based in the US. The product was used internally by HPE to be a showcase of Cloud platform development.

Led innovation and cloud adoption for a large global IT organization reporting to the CIO. Led 80 Engineers responsible to build and execute a cloud adoption strategy for the company. At first we used HP Helion Open Stack, later switching to Azure. Through a series of hackathons, crowdsourcing and global agile sprints, we established a new agile/dev-ops culture to existing software development teams. Key paradigm changes: Adoption of native cloud, embrace mobile first application development, hybrid cloud, micro-services, DevOps, CICD pipelines, Agile, LEAN, Design Thinking. Reporting to the CIO of Enterprise Services IT, I led and managed a large global delivery IT organization of 500+ employees located in India, China, Malaysia, Slovakia, Mexico, USA. We managed the development of new IT applications as well as manage the ongoing maintenance and support of over 200 IT application assets including SAP, Salesforce, Service Manager, Mobile Apps, Portals, Big Data, etc. Part of leadership team to launch and grow a new Global Delivery center in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. Delivery teams consistently achieved CIO award for technical innovation and teamwork.

As a member of the Global Delivery IT leadership team, I was responsible for business development by creating a new CIO advisory team. I formed a new team of 6 senior consultants to help grow sales and business with strategic client accounts. Our mission was to enable digital transformation with HP Enterprise products and Services using our delivery teams in APAC. During my tenure, we successfully delivered numerous technology transformation projects and received high client QBR satisfaction ratings while overcoming technical, staffing, time-zone, and cultural challenges and risks. In 2010, I was part of the leadership team that launched a new global delivery enter in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. The center hosted 2500 employees.

A founding team member of a new joint venture company in Shanghai, the China Software Solutions Center (CSSC) was a software R&D center for Hewlett Packard. I led Go-To-Market strategies to bring in new business and new projects opportunities into this new center. We achieved an amazing growth of 250% CAGR with the center growing from 20 to 1200 employees during my tenure. Created strategic and financial plans for the organization to break-even quickly and achieved sustained P&L profitability thereafter. Created the Testing Center of Excellence to capitalize on a huge market need for software test automation which contributed to 23% of the business unit's annual peak revenue of $60M.

Led a services startup transform their business and quadruple the company revenue and size 20-80HC. Prior to my arrival, the company was strictly a services company. I expanded the offering portfolio to include the unique testing software that we developed in house which was packaged and sold to our clients (Dell, EMC, NetApp, 3COM, Western Digital, Maxtor, HP). Led key Go to Market activities (product launch, marketing, sales, pricing, licensing terms, contracts, support, services). I later took on additional responsibility to take over company operations (recruit and hire various employees in sales, product, software engineering, testing services). I had responsibilities across business development, product, engineering, marketing, sales, HR, Legal, and finance.

Managed the product development of two enterprise class servers that generated $900 million in revenue for HP. Led a cross-functional team representing R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to execute development and introduction of new servers. My functional area of responsibility was network adapters and embedded networking on the motherboard. Supervise program-level development schedules of multiple cross functional teams. Manage relationships with key technology vendors and manufacturing partners to align product strategy and technical roadmaps. While in this role, I led the product launch of the industry's first Gigabit Ethernet adapter.

Led the HP Tested Partner Program which tested and certified 3rd party products to be sold and shipped together with HP Netservers. (network adapters, storage devices, networking switches) Cross functional coordination with product marketing, supply chain and manufacturing to sell specific adapters with HP enterprise products. I was instrumental in acquiring the internal funding needed to build a new vendor certification lab, specifically designed to conduct joint testing at HP's offices in Cupertino, CA. As a partner funded program, we achieved cost recovery within 10 months and were directly responsible for generating add-on revenue sales.
