I am Stanley Terrell Anderson II and I am a researcher in renewable energy systems and production. My current work has been to generate statistical models for biodiesel production to enhance the performance of small scale systems. This thrust is motivated by leveraging the different dynamics that are associated with bioenergy that lend themselves to a more artisanal or decentralized method of production. In addition to my scientific interests, I am quite interested in alternative methods of food and chemical production with special emphasis on using traditional methods for production. I began making my own fermented vegetables, salsas and yogurt as I continuously expand my own family garden to prepare for a full-size hobby farm. In the future, I will covert this effort into a pilot scale agricultural laboratory to seek out new innovations for small scale and local food production. During my tenure at Clemson, I have had the privilege of publishing three journal articles, one as first author and I am currently working on two more specifically in biodiesel kinetic modeling and another on geographic methods to estimate yields with special attention to property ownership and soil quality. The objective of these studies is to enhance the reliability and resilience of American critical infrastructure by increasing the quantity of bioenergy using decentralized production.I have also worked as a consultant for small businesses, performing a wide variety of tasks including financial analysis, process design and strategy development for special projects. Each of these studies have employed my interest in chemistry and chemical models to enhance my analysis. My clients were well pleased with my work and in total, across all six projects the initiatives I have planned are predicted to generate $ 300,000 in savings.
