When I noticed in 2013 that my brother Tim, a self-employed graphic designer, did not use the benefit of the copyright tax incentive, I was curious to know why. The Belgian copyright tax incentive is a fantastic instrument for all self-employed creatives, that results in a 25% increase of their net income. Unfortunately for the creative community, it is notoriously complex and almost impossible for a single self-employed creative, to benefit from the copyright tax incentive in a correct way.
