Operation BBQ Relief is a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation founded in May, 2011 in response to a need for relief efforts in tornado-stricken Joplin, Missouri. The Joplin operation has been used as a model for all the future disasters. We have improved and have better equipment today then we did at the start. But today we have volunteers in 47 states and some in Canada! We have deployed to 15 tornadoes, 5 hurricanes/floods, 1 wildfire and 1 explosion. During the deployment for Hurricane Sandy we had multiple relief locations in New York and New Jersey that we were serving food from. This was big learning experience for us!
