I consider myself very fortunate to be able to do what I do professionally. I’ve been very lucky to have had the benefit of pursuing my passion for technology and new business models all through my career. I’ve been fortunate to work with great people and across different markets I cover. And most importantly, I have a huge love for the community I work with every day - the technology ecosystem of customers, vendors and channel partners that is the beating heart of the IT industry. It’s also been an honour to be a female IT leader at this time. I believe more women in leadership roles will drive the technology industry forward. Equally, we need more women in the top jobs because both business and the world is more successful when we have balance. I believe my multi-faceted background - which is rich in technology, business, strategy, growth and sales management experience, spanning more than 25 years across Europe and Asia - has provided me with the opportunity to develop a vast knowledge of the IT industry, combined with leading business strategies and culture. With all that said, many can be surprised that I am also a bit of a techy too. However, I believe it is the combination of my business skills, technical skills and passion for people that have really driven my career success to date.We have entered an era where technology is widely accessible, easily ‘consumable’ and more than ever aligned with our customer’s business objectives. I really do believe there has never been a greater time to embrace new opportunities and grow new businesses, based on the new business models possible. I’m very much looking forward to being part of a bright future in IT.
