Current- Overall technical competence of the business, guiding and growing that competence in the whole product team- Develop & track goals and career growth plans for engineers. Teach and mentor them in technical and non-technical growth- Turn business and product strategy into technical strategy and priorities. Ensure tech can scale appropriately as the business grows- Translate product and engineering vision, strategy, and priorities to clear and actionable product engineering roadmap and OKRs- Guide team in the balance of addressing tech debt vs new features- Ensure code quality, stability & UX speed- Monitor performance, impact, execution, and delivery across the team, and identify risks and solutions- Develop, maintain, and communicate an overall execution plan for engineers- Design processes for smooth operations, fast execution, and clear decisions, and communicate expectations, decisions, and changes to everybody
