I am passionate about helping solve the climate crisis.I spent 15 years leading Warren Wilson College's sustainability program, including serving as Interim Director of the college's Environmental Leadership Center. In 2009, I co-founded and led Brightfield Transportation Solutions, where we designed and deployed some of the nation's first solar-integrated electric vehicle charging solutions and fast charger networks, securing investments from US DOE, Nissan North America, NRG, EVgo, VenureSouth, Pinnacle Fund, Tuck School of Business and others. I have served as a consultant to the cities of Raleigh and Charlotte, NC, creating comprehensive municipal electric transportation plans, Energy Foundation producing a Southeast electric transportation landscape assessment, and US DOE assisting the development of an EV charging infrastructure resilience plan for North and South Carolina.Building off my institutional, business, and consulting experiences, I now work at the non-profit Southern Alliance for Clean Energy. I lead our electric transportation team. We advocate for public policies that help state agencies, municipalities and utilities plan for and transition to EVs, implement innovative programs to expand Southeast markets, and ensure the transition to electric transportation is equitable and accessible to all.
