Along with my Civil design responsibilities I am designing Transmission and Distribution (T&D) site facilities. Electrical responsibilities include creating substation and generation site designs all within a 3D Bentley MicroStation platform. Utilizing client standards for substation design and engineering requirements. Client site requirements, safety clearances, drive isles and other site specific details for existing and greenfield designs.Civil has included several preliminary and final private developments in single and multi-family residential engineering plans. Preliminary designs included: average traffic counts; sight stoppage distance exhibits; right in, right out intersections; soil maps; tributary maps; preliminary grading and street profiles. Final designs typically include Sanitary and Storm plans; Profiles; Tributary Map; Sections/Profiles/Quantities; Erosion Control; Lighting and Striping; Tree planting; Waterline details and of course SWPPP's.Other Civil design projects include landfill berm rehabilitation. Landfill annual regulatory certifications, site grading projects, industrial spill containment. Projects include the use of ground penetrating radar, large point clouds: Lidar and scanned, surveyed as well as field measurements .Lead the Cadd Standards committee.
