In addition to this I serve, where required, as a technical reachout for developers looking to better understand the roots of the project they are undertaking; in situations where my expertise and background knowledge of specific systems are beneficial, such channels of dialogue can prove integral to the proper formation, development and testing of key features. My strong technical foundational knowledge and affability have enabled me to work not only throughout the company and its various umbrellas and disciplines, but also with a large variety of third-party vendors with which Datto RMM integrates, with these vendors conversing directly with me to plan and achieve integration objectives.RE: Changeover from PM to TPM, the "job" has not changed; the context has. As a Technical Product Manager the focus is less on strategy and market awareness and more on bits and bytes, which is much more my element. As part of Autotask's acquisition by Datto, Inc., I went from an AEM Product Manager to an RMM Product Manager for Datto. It is the same product and the job remains the same.

Following Autotask's acquisition of CentraStage, I went from administering CentraStage RMM to administering Autotask Endpoint Management (AEM). As part of the acquisition process I rose to the rank of Product Manager, the rôle of which involved similar work but with a greater emphasis on managing individual projects through to completion alongside development staff.My rôle centred around reception of cleared customer requirements from the greater Product Management sphere; once I… Show more Following Autotask's acquisition of CentraStage, I went from administering CentraStage RMM to administering Autotask Endpoint Management (AEM). As part of the acquisition process I rose to the rank of Product Manager, the rôle of which involved similar work but with a greater emphasis on managing individual projects through to completion alongside development staff.My rôle centred around reception of cleared customer requirements from the greater Product Management sphere; once I received these requirements and the remit surrounding them from Administration I focused on the development of a functional specification, with the end goal being the development of a new feature or product to alleviate the customers' concerns.This required taking a low-level view of every facet of the new feature, not just as it functions autonomously but as part of the greater product; although the respective department has the bulk of the responsibility, it was also often my responsibility to develop mockups for the feature, to aid comprehension when demonstrating it to the team.The specifications I developed were run through the greater PM sphere multiple times until we felt all issues had been addressed; once this concluded, the cases were handed off to development. Should any questions regarding the feature have arisen during the development or QA process, I was the first port of call to answer them. Show less

I ran proof of concept trials, validated customer requirements and participated in the development of functional specifications for the development team. In September 2014, CentraStage Ltd. was acquired by Autotask Corporation; during this changeover I was promoted from Product Specialist to Product Manager, my current rôle.
