- Administers and executes the horsepower hour (HPH) and fuel equalization components of the Master Run Through agreements with foreign carriers to ensure accurate accounting and execution of the settlement processes. - Responsible for monitoring daily HPH balance with all foreign lines and making recommendations for changes in the locomotive plan as necessary to protect Norfolk Southern’s interests with respect to HPH and fuel liabilities. - Responsible for the continuous re-evaluation of HPH and fuel accounting processes and making the changes necessary to continually improve these processes.- Gather and analyze information related to interchange events to affect the accurate accounting of HPH and fuel liabilities with other roads.- Prepare payable documents for emergency fueling events as well as those associated with selected DTL fueling operations.- Coordinates payable and receivable billing processes for fuel equalization and servicing events.- Perform monthly fuel equalization settlement with each foreign road in accordance with existing agreements.- Coordinate the negotiation and review of HPH Agreements for Norfolk Southern Corporation.- Function as liaison between Norfolk Southern, Foreign Lines, Short Lines, and Commuter agencies in matters related to fuel and horsepower hour equalization.- Work with OSS and other groups as necessary, to ensure appropriate reporting practices are being followed, for effective handling of interchange events within the HPH system.

- Develop and implement new maintenance and repair processes and procedures to optimize production, quality and safety. - Assist the Director of Locomotive Maintenance with implementation of these processes at Shaffers Crossing Locomotive Shop and assist at other shops on the NS system. - Responsible for designing and implementing process changes in Running Repair and Maintenance Line Operations, including unscheduled repairs, project work and modifications. - Utilize all members of the workforce in team kaizen workouts of one week duration to create sweeping changes at the facility. - Monitor quality of inspections, maintenance, and repairs to assure maximum locomotive reliability and availability. - Responsible for providing training for subordinates in LeanSigma and Kaizen events and manages the Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO) to provide information and encouragement to all employees of the facility on upcoming events and the successes of the process.Established Potential Annual Savings of over $17 million through various Completed Projects

- Responsible for the application and collection of warranties covering new and reconditioned locomotive parts. - Trained shopcraft employees on how to identify covered parts and initiate the warranty process. - Developed strategies to ensure local supervisors and material handlers are current with potential warranty material coming from locomotives. - Met with suppliers to set expectations, establish procedures and negotiate settlement of warranty claims. - Audited collection of warranty dollars and warranty parts to protect corporate assets.
