1. Managing the deal origination process for all new deals: • This includes understanding the deal structure • Understanding the deal pricing and repayment profiles • Review of credit minutes and legal signoff • Thorough review and understanding of key terms in Legal Agreements • Arranging deal funding • Preparing and maintaining the deal file and related documentation • Liaising with consultants, legal, middle operations, compliance and other Lenders in syndicated deals • Booking the deal in the loan management system 2. Ongoing deal maintenance for all existing deals: • Including repayments and further advances • Cash flow management with the funding desk on all drawdowns and repayments • Following up on all outstanding items on the deal file at deal origination • Investigate, comment and implement all amendments made to existing deals • Deal with internal and external queries • Audit confirmations • Arrears, default and recoveries process • Customer interaction, including sending all drawdown advices, rate resets, repayment notices and statements 3. Daily clearing of reconciliations:• Including bank and interdivisional reconciliations• Source system to General Ledger clearing / suspense account• Cross-currency bank and clearing accounts. 4. General duties:• Presentation of new deal structures to the team • Liaise with other divisions in terms of shared transactions and margin payments • Provide information requested by management, consultants, clients etc • Peer review of deal files prepared • Provide information to the MI reporting team • Provide input and commentary to the arrears, default and recovery report for management review • Build strong business relationships with all stakeholders and clients 5. Projects:• Play a role in the identification, definition and specifications required for ongoing enhancements to systems and processes • Driving of new initiatives and implementation
