Responsibilities included: Repairing wrecked train cars as per work order or direction from QC department. New car build built to engineering specifications as designed from blueprints. Fabrication of parts from raw steal to final design to solve engineering over sight. Lead welder in charge of seven member team with the responsibility to deliver car builds on time and on budget. Inspecting weld quality, supervising team output and managing time commitments to ensure budgetary requirements are met. Maintenance of equipment including forklifts, shuttle cars, lifts, cranes, torches, grinders, saws, welders and all other miscellaneous equipment. CDL Class A driver for off-site railcar repair at customer's locations.
