Hello there! 👋I am a recent undergraduate from The University of Western Australia - majoring in Computer Science and Data Science. Currently just started as Graduate Developer at Boon Solutions!A quick summary of some relevant experience prior to this (newest to oldest):- 🚀 Full-Stack Web Developer | Coders for Causes & UWA (University of Western Australia)I volunteer as a web developer for Coders for Causes - a student club from UWA that helps non-profit organizations with creating their own custom websites. So far I have helped in creating reusable front-end components and ensuring the front-end works well with the back-end. This opportunity has also led me to learn a lot about Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Prisma.I also had the opportunity to create a web application for a unit in UWA's curriculum. I and a group of 5 built a full-stack Django web application that graphs out real-time weather data. We used D3.js as our graphing library, and deployed it on an AWS EC2 instance using nginx and gunicorn.- 🔬 Research Associate | Australian Alzheimer's Research InstituteAs Research Associate, my main responsibilities were data entry and data administration using Excel. I tried applying some of what I have learned by attempting to transfer data from Excel spreadsheets to a Relational Database such as Access; automating some repetitive tasks using Excel macros and VBA scripts; and overhauling the spreadsheets so that they are more streamlined and user-friendly.- 🌐 IT Projects Intern | Hannah's HouseHannah's House were going through a system infrastructure overhaul at the time and as IT Projects Intern, I was responsible for extracting, preparing, and organizing company files so that they are ready to be moved to the new system. I overhauled Excel spreadsheets ; used Python to extract and prepare client data for the new system; and acted as IT help desk for staff.I am always out for opportunities to learn and improve on my skills and capabilities.
