Lighting design for toys

Development of unique and innovative LED TIR(Total Internal Reflection) optical lighting designs. Research of materials for use in lighting designs. Developed light guide type designs used in low cost Marvel and Star Wars characters masks. Management of the Design and Development electronics lab, purchased lab supplies/components. Assist other engineers with hardware prototype.

Test Engineering and Characterization for MEMS resonator devices.

Designed, fabricated and constructed LabView based optical/electronic test equipment used to test and characterize prototype silicon based photo detectors / diodes at wavelengths of 350-1800nm. Used laser diode, LED, and Monochromator light sources. Created test equipment documentation including schematics, SolidWorks CAD drawings / 3-D models, PCB layouts and procedures. Used automated and manual wafer probe stations to test silicon wafers. Performed data reduction, analysis and presentation. Used machine tools to fabricate and modify test fixtures.

Wrote and supervised the Design Verification Test (DVT) plan for the ACM100 forward looking automotive camera. Performed root cause failure analysis on DVT, manufacturing and field failures. Provided training / technical assistance to Asian / European OEMs in camera manufacturing procedures and methods for the resolution of various technical / manufacturing issues.
