I worked in the development of the Fiserv Advanced Billing (FAB) system.FAB is an account billing system that manages the billing of policy premium and account fees, maintains installment and commission information, calculates the equity of a policy, and generates billing statements and other notices.Responsibilities included development of new modules & supporting existing features - client side, as well as server stack, design reviews and also production support for client reported issues.

Part of the development team for Enterprise Billing system at 21st Century Insurance.We designed, and implemented a new enterprise wide billing application for the 21st Century Insurance’s auto insurance business.The project involved many facets including a new web interface, customizable rules engine to support billing logic, interfaces to Documerge print systems, check processing & policy processing systems.I was responsible for the development of the more critical use-cases, handling the rules and payment calculations for the policies.Worked on the development of an extend library of unit and regression tests, trainings, and on the analysis of the each scope change request as they had to pass through all the crucial use-cases.I also worked with CitiFinancial International to develop add on support on their Maestro System. I led a team to develop a new web based interface around a solution to have superuser kind of administrative users who can monitor and manipulate the maestro system’s user related data.We designed a Struts based technical architecture for the web interface.My team also provided support in adding new unit tests and execute the project from offshore.

Cygnet was a software company building products and applications for network management system.I worked on team building applications off Cisco VisionWay, including building an Java based LDAP browser, plus an authorization layer on it.I also visited Novell Netware in Provo, Utah to attend workshops for their DirXML solutions and build an driver implementation for the MSAccess DB, including the application shim, query processor and publisher channel.DirXML is Novell's directory interchange software that uses XML to keep different directories synchronized.Worked on various parts of Constel the network management product offering from Cygsoft, with involvement in development of the SNMP services, network usage data collectors, network flow performance evaluations, etc.
