TLTW is a statewide youth-run coalition which seeks to create lasting changes through policymaking.TLTW's mission is to empower young people to create lasting change across the Commonwealth through youth-led public-policy.PERSONAL AND POLICY LEVEL IMPACTTeens Leading the Way has made measurable impact both on the state and personal levels. One of our past campaigns focused on securing new funding for teen mental health services at drop-in centers throughout Massachusetts. The teens developed a bill (H. 1881) and secured 40 co-sponsors to fund mental health services in teen drop-in centers in 5 communities throughout the state. It passed favorably out of the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing, moving all the way to the Ways and Means Committee. TLTW also played a key role advocating and planning for the creation of the Governor’s first statewide youth council. An executive order by the Governor signed this new Council into law in April 2008. TLTW now has Council Members serving and others were involved for nearly a year in the planning process (working on everything from the applications to orientation).

Young Peoples Project is a non profit organization.Mission: YPP uses Math Literacy Work to develop the abilities of elementary through high school students to succeed in school and in life, and in doing so involves them in efforts to eliminate institutional obstacles to their success. Vision: YPP envisions a day when every young person — regardless of ethnicity, gender, or class — has access to a high quality education and the skills, attributes, and community support s/he needs to successfully meet the challenges of their generation.
