Stan Moyer served as Vice President, Ecosystem Development & Collaboration at Inventures. In this role, Stan oversees Inventures executive directors, program managers, marketing directors, and certification directors that serve Inventures technology alliance clients. Stan also functioned as the executive director for ONVIF, the SD Card Association and the loT Ready Alliance and continued to create and launch new technology alliances.

Responsible for managing the launch and then the on-going execution and operations for industry technology collaborations (alliances and consortiums). I served as Executive Director for the SD Card Association (www.sdcard.org), ONVIF (www.onvif.org), and the IoT Ready Alliance (www.iot-ready.org), the LoRa Alliance, Smart TV Alliance, and the OVCC. Launch activities include: structuring the organization (e.g., determining membership tiers, rights, benefits, and fees), creating the governance documents (working with stakeholders and legal counsel), recruiting members, and implementing the necessary infrastructure (e.g., help desk, financial systems and support, collaboration tools, and public website). Managing the on-going execution and operations involves: creating and managing budgets, advising the Board, defining policies and procedures, responding to membership (and other) inquiries, leading strategic plan development and execution, procuring additional services (e.g., marketing director, public relations, event management, collateral development, legal counsel), and large variety of other tasks. Also part of the Inventures Core Management Team that oversees operations for Inventures and defines processes, policies, and procedure for the organization.

Responsible for the planning, administration, and execution of the Applied Research (AR) strategic research program. Duties include interfacing with Telcordia officers, customers, and Business Units to determine business goals, devising a research program to meet those goals, and then determining the best way to transition results to the business units. Most recently was product manager for the Mobile Messaging and Application Solution, a hosted service for mobile marketing and affinity messaging and mobile web applications. Customers included Broadway Across America and Bucknell University.Also did business development and proposal writing for commercial and government opportunities, development of detailed business cases and for AR technologies with the potential for commercialization, leader of the AR strategic planning team. Led a Telcordia effort to design and implement a product lifecycle management process to better manage the innovation and development of new products and services.

Project manager and co-technical lead for strategic research project focused on networked appliances and home networking – led a research team of 10-15 technical people, co-authored patents, established external collaborations, created technology transition paths with product organizations. Over this period of time I was also project manager for projects on middleware, CORBA, application security, Internet QoS, and Voice over IP (based on Telcordia’s SoftSwitch product). The range of activities to support this work included technical analysis, report writing, requirements generation, product evaluation, and prototyping. The clients of these projects included Telcordia product organizations and external clients (i.e., contract research). I was responsible for writing proposals for the projects, staffing the projects, and then managing the projects, which met all deliverable deadlines and budgets.

Performed research on broadband connection management. Included a cross-organizational (research and product organizations) advanced development effort of a “Broadband Services Controller.” I was responsible for overall system design, middleware infrastructure design and implementation (DCE & OODCE), and implementation of the core connection management module (in C++). Also researched and prototyped ATM switch management software. Responsible for hardware integration and testing of an experimental prototype ATM switch. Later designed and implemented a new daughter board responsible for inter-board communication for the experimental ATM switch.

Performed hardware/software integration on a JTIDS Army Class 2M Terminal (a secure jam-resistant communications terminal utilizing X.25, Frequency Hopping, TDMA and Spread Spectrum Technologies). Wrote system test plans and procedures and performed testing to evaluate all functional requirements of the terminals.
