URSA Cleantech is a start up company leveraging the founders experience in oil and gas industries, microbe applications and innovation. Activites include research into reducing GHG emissions from wells, locating casing leaks and tracking hydrocarbon pollution via microbiome changes . Other applications include the optimisation of hydrogen storage in salt caverns and the reduction of waxes in wellbores. The D23 development application was a product of this work.• Geoscientist for the Nsolv, ESEIEH and EASE solvent production technology teams providing geological datasets, drilling research wells and assisting the development of reservoir models and production forecasts.• Developed the six Township Petrel geological model to be used in creating hydrogeological and fate transfer models of the MacKay/Mildred Lake mine expansion interaction.• Led the geological well review of Phases 4/5 SAGD project at Suncor Mackay.• Drilled research wells and pioneered the use of hyperspectral/XRF imaging to replace lab based analyses of bitumen saturated core. This technology is faster, cheaper and of a significantly higher resolution than standard methodologies.• Mentored junior geologists, geophysists and engineers within the team and across the organisation.2011-2015• Lead geoscientist in the Subsurface Engineering and Geology team creating breakthrough technologies for Suncor.• Suncor lead in research of bacterial interaction with bitumen within the Suncor Firebag property.• Investigated lean zone mobile water in lean and how to input the data collected into a production model and the technologies to be used.• Drilled the Mobile Water V test facility at Firebag to test the connectivity of lean zones and methods to produce this stranded bitumen resource.• Developed and used Lidar to remotely resolve the sedimentary structures, faults/fracture sets and bitumen saturations in a bitumen mineface.
