I was part of a team of strategists, innovators, designers, and product engineers at Deloitte. The team researches, tests, and builds new ideas, products, and businesses for major Canadian organizations. Here’s a selection of the projects I’m proudest of from my time at Deloitte.- We helped a Vancouver-based charity plan for the expansion of their education programs to 8 remote Indigenous communities across British Columbia. I demonstrated strong project management skills to lead two colleagues to deliver a culturally-aware outreach plan informed by interviews with charity staff, volunteers, and Indigenous leaders.- I helped to build a new majority Indigenous-owned business. I focused on creating an exceptional experience for employees of the new business. I organized a 2-day in-person team-building and onboarding session for 8 new hires and worked with leaders to create a lasting sense of community through regular events and further training. In addition, I took the initiative to work on marketing activities including identifying key targets for our marketing strategy, then creating pitches aimed at investors, clients, and government.- I conducted an assessment of supply chain technologies for a major infrastructure operator. I led interviews with 10+ subject matter experts, collated research on 100+ technologies in a data table, and managed a designer to produce a compelling visualisation of the landscape of supply chain technologies available to our client. - Alongside these projects, I enjoyed mentoring new hires, helping to run a case competition in partnership with students, facilitating a workshop with a local charity, and organizing team socials.

Working with Dr Hamish van der Ven, I created lesson plans, interactive activities, and reading lists for five classes in BEST 403: Integrated Strategies for Bioproduct Innovation. I tailored the content on innovation and entrepreneurship to forestry students and identified guest speakers who would help to bring the classroom examples to life.

I helped to coordinate the Venture Founder program for early-stage startups, build the community, and conduct market research and analysis for individual ventures.I participated in Venture Founder sessions and helped to facilitate exercises on the business model canvas, conducting customer interviews, and more. I provided guidance to founders and worked with them individually on market research using tools like PitchBook and CBInsights to conduct market sizing and competitor analysis.As part of e@UBC’s commitment to inclusion, I helped to collect and analyse data on the diversity of program participants to identify how we could encourage entrepreneurship among under-represented groups. As part of these efforts to attract founders from different backgrounds, I built relationships and organized information sessions for students who were unfamiliar with e@UBC.

I worked in a graduate-level role delivering technical customer support to business clients of Deskpro’s helpdesk software.I communicated clearly and effectively with customers to achieve 88% positive feedback and 10.5% neutral feedback. I answered queries and resolved any issues with the software while clearly explaining features to existing and prospective customers via email tickets, live chat, and calls.Working with developers and product managers, I identified bugs, tested and replicated them, then logged them and kept customers updated. As part of a team, I helped to keep our knowledge base up-to-date and manage feedback and feature requests from customers.

Interning at an early-stage quantum computing startup, I worked directly with the founders on marketing and business development.I re-designed the website using Wordpress to attract new customers and showcase the software. I also conducted market research into the sector and which quantum computing technologies receive the most funding to help drive product strategy.To assist with business development, I identified and contacted potential users. I improved the business development process and ensured continued use by migrating CRM data from an Excel sheet to Airtable to better keep track of interactions with customers and partners.

I conducted in-depth qualitative and quantitative research for a case study on Nokia's decline as a phone manufacturer. Working with Dr Andreas Kornelakis (Senior Lecturer in International Management), I explored Nokia's corporate strategy and why they failed to respond to the threat posed by Apple, Samsung, and other smartphone manufacturers. My research produced a case study for use in teaching by King's Business School professors.
