Profile bio

About Stanton Burnton

The day I entered my first class at The University of Arizona, I thought I knew what I would be doing for the rest of my life. I had no experience or knowledge to justify this narrative. Nearly four years after, I left the university without a degree. The day I entered my first class at Arizona State University, I did not know what I would be doing for the rest of my life. However, I knew I wanted to learn and work harder than my previous experience at The University of Arizona. Three years later, I graduated summa cum laude with a degree in mechanical engineering.I am not proud of the honors and taking pride in my degree is doing a disservice to recognizing the people responsible for helping me achieve it. I am proud that I used my experiences to learn and work towards something that mattered to me. I am fortunate I had people around me who cared enough to generously give their time, patience, and energy to me, allowing me to reach my goal I set out to do.I learn and work because I am fascinated and intrigued by my environment and the people around me. I love using my skills in mathematics and logic-based thinking to solve problems with people. Applying my skills in Solidworks and organizing time, tasks, and data with Excel and VBA macros brings me joy. I can be somewhat controlling, but that character trait benefited the work I did assisting the development of a controller for an active ankle-foot orthosis and working in the control systems field.I love new opportunities and the ability to use my past experiences to improve upon my performance. Peter Parker’s uncle once said, “With great power comes great responsibility”. Now, I do not have any superpowers I am aware of, but I have a lot more knowledge than Peter did when he first saved New York. I’m hoping my knowledge can be used to save my city in some sort of way, whether to help people, improve its infrastructure, or develop new technologies.

Listed skills include Microsoft Office, Solidworks, Matlab, Ansys, and 4 others.
