My professional experience differs from most. Copywriting is my specialty and I've done it in some form with most of my ventures. I graduated with an MA in art administration in 2013 after spending two years as the A&E editor of The Lasso at TWU. I started two different media ventures and freelanced for The Dallas Morning News, The Denton Record-Chronicle, and The Dallas Observer. In 2014, I joined the board of The Thin Line Film Festival. As director of film programming, I oversaw the film selection, Q&As, and appearances. I was interviewed by local publications and radio/tv broadcasts. I was also responsible for copywriting film summaries for the PR director and for social media. in 2016, I opened a medical delivery service in San Diego but had to close in 2018 due to personal reasons. We sold $500,000 worth of products in our two-year operation. Upon my return to Texas, I ramped up my freelance career. I have contracted with international companies like Freeman AV and Poolwerx. I also did contract and freelance work for three different digital agencies, Gebo's Western Wear, and Falcon Events. I am currently looking to transition out of the freelance world and take on a full-time Senior Copywriter role either on an in-house marketing team or with an agency.
