Designed and Deployed new routing solution for Enterprise ATM Network (5000 nodes). The deployment consisted of two Cisco Catalyst 6506 w/ MSFC. This migrated the existing "static" FORE Systems solution to a "dynamic" configuration utilizing Cisco's EIGRP and HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol) making it a fully redundant solution, there was no redundancy present in the previous FORE Systems solution. This resolved a multitude of network performance and monitoring issues.Designed and built a lab infrastructure intended to improve the effectiveness of distributed computing and network systems on site. This was a key factor in the success of our projects thorough testing based on realistic scenarios. The Interoperability Lab was built with this concept in mind. I recreated functionally similar environments to test scenarios in preparation for upcoming implementations and in evaluating conceptual designs as well as recreation of occasional issues.Deployed ATM Core and Edge switches, both Fore Systems ASX1000, ASX200 and 3810 series and Cisco Catalyst 2800, 2900, 3500, 4000, 5000, 6000 and 8000 series switches and configured in coordination with VLAN plan and Spanning Tree Protocol standards.Developed and implemented IP Sub-netting to accommodate connectivity to extranet solutions and additional VLAN implementationsDesigned and Deployed segregated IP networks intended for isolated, secure, systems development.
