Director Of Managed Accounts Architecture
Boston, Ma, Us
As a hands-on lead architect for Managed Accounts solutions, responsibilities included designing and implementing technology solutions to support Fidelity's wealth management customers and advisers in managing customer assets. As the technical leader for the new adviser experience platform for Wealth Management I established a clear architecture and set of guidelines for the 8 independent squads to follow, while still allowing them the flexibility to contribute their own ideas and solutions. This required creating a shared vision and common set of goals for the platform, as well as clearly defined roles and responsibilities for each squad (agile team).Established effective communication and collaboration channels between squads. Established a continuous integration and delivery pipelines.Utilized a variety of technologies and practices, including Angular, NestJS, a nx monorepo, micro frontend architecture, DevSecOps / DevOps pipeline using Jenkins, Sonar, Cypress, Jest, Domain Driven Design, and automated deployment to AWS ECS. Implemented cloud infrastructure using AWS ECS, ALB, Route 53, and Avi GSLB. Played a leadership role in product development, including product vision and solution design, agile backlog management, code reviews, and API observability using Splunk, DataDog, and alerts/dashboards. Provided architecture leadership to teams in the USA and China and conducted PoCs and experiments to validate architecture direction. Led architecture for Fidelity Go, Fidelity's first robo-advisor, with a combination of Angular for the front-end, Java web services for the backend, and relational databases for data storage. It integrates new and legacy systems and covers all aspects of the investment process, including planning, proposal, account management, funding, investment management, and ongoing management.
