As an intern with the Czech Tourist authority, my responsabilities encompass a wide range of taks. I am responsible for the V4 (Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia) representation on the World Travel Market Latin America 2014 in Sao Paulo, managing the necessary documents, comunicating with participating countries and companies and managing the practical aspects (graphics, stand construction, payments, web management). Apart from this I am also preparing materials for the Czech participation on the Travel Week market this May. I also contribute to the functioning of the CzechTourism web pages by providing translations of the posted articles.

In Athos I am monitoring all activity concerning Czech Republic in Brazil, trying actively to increase the country`s visibility and promote it`s interests. Specifically I am in charge of social networks, I manage clippings, I translate materials and search for other ways to spread the knowledge about our country throughout the southamerican continent. I write articles about Czech culture, history and contemporary issues that are published in Brazilian media.

Brasília Area, Brazil

An internship at the embassy of the Czech Republic in Brazil (ancillary competences in Venezuela, Guyana and Suriname). I ensured a wide range of tasks. I was in charge of the procurment of statisctic data for the quarterly economics reports of all the four countries. I wrote sectorial evaluations for the Ministry of Foreign Affaires. I reported on economic situation an major political events in the four countries (the death of Hugo Chavez, june manifestations in Brazil). I represented the Czech Republic on numerous meetings, mainly held by the Delegation of the European Union in Brazil (Heads of Missions, Human Rights, Develepment, Culture, Security) and international conferences (EU-Mercosur, BRICS meeting...)I was in charge of the embassy representation online and on social networks. Apart from that, I managed translation, interpretation, press monitoring and clippings. I also managed a local team, organizing the Week of the Czech Gastronomy.

During this specific internship in the Forum 2000 Fondation, I was a member of the organisation team of the NGO market 2012, a major event dedicatede to the NGO sector. I was in charge of the logistics of the market (that counted with participation of more than 300 NGOs), ensured the organisation of catering, promotional materials, supervised the constrruction directly at the venue and coordinated the team of other volonteers. I was also a part of the PR team, publishing articles at the event web.

Forum 2000 is the biggest Czech NGO pursuing the legacy of Václav Havel by supporting the values of democracy and respect for human rights, assisting the development of civil society, and encouraging religious, cultural and ethnic tolerance. My duties were linked to the organization of high profile events, conferences and international lectures (Forum 2000, World Forum on Governance, Asia-Europe Foundation…). I cooperated with international partners (UCLA), assisted the delegates (personal assistance to Bernard Kouchner upon his visit to Prague in 2012), managed transportations, wrote transcripts and reports in various languages.Apart from that I reviewed and proofread the printing materials, contributed to the web pages, ensured translation and interpretation. I also worked as an editor: Edited the Annual report on the 15th Annual Forum 2000 Conference Democracy and the Rule of Law.

During my internship I worked under the Organizational department of the Office of the Senate, where I was acquainted with the functions of this department. I participated on the organization of the 20th and the 21st Plenary Session of the Senate in its 8th term in office. An indissociable part of my internship was the preparation of materials for the Senators and incorporation of submitted amends into the current laws. Another part of my internship was processing of documents for international exchange of information amongst Parliaments of the EU countries and their translation into English. Under the Department for the European Union I created annotations to European press and was informed about the process of discussing the European documents by the Senate. I also participated on numerous meetings of various Senate committees that were negotiating amends submitted by the House of Representatives and other agenda.
