My most recent venture is the establishment of Driving Miss Daisy in Australia. A franchised social enterprise, Driving Miss Daisy provides a companion driving service to our beloved aging and disabled community, helping them to live independently and bringing some joy and independence to their lives. I am a co-founder of Optivance 360 with specific focus on helping business owners exploit their value and maximise their potential. My (our) goal is to entrench the Optivance 360 brand and gain recognition for assisting clients attain their full potential, whilst respecting their people, cultures and the social and natural environment. I have spent 30 years in the accounting and consulting industry. Started my career as partner in a mid-size audit practice and in 1981 co-founded Gruzd Zets & Co, a boutique audit and business consulting practice. Settled in Australia in 2000 and established an on-line auction business (Bidorbuy) after which I joined Expense Reduction Analysts and served 7 years as Group CEO of the business, deploying some 700 professional consultants in more than 25 countries. I have served as a director of many companies engaged in a host of industries including Franchise, IT, internet, professional services, mining supplies and metallurgy, automotive, travel, manufacture and more. I am a past director of The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and regional president of that body and its affiliates.
