If you were looking for a unified string theory for how to spend your creative energy/professional time, then that's as good a one as any I've heard. Holding a vision for 'highest and best use' is where art meets science of appraisal. Real estate appraisers know that the life expectancy of [person or thing] is relatively short on this earth. All value is in use. 'Value' is a formula that must begin with a vision for use. Only after our 'highest and best' is conceived in every detail, can the "cost to cure" be a concrete series of steps to trod. One of those steps can be (and often is) a career move.
