I lead a culturally diverse global team of engineers in the preparation and enforcement of corporate standards, preparation of detailed designs for projects and to oversee the implementation and handover of projects to the operational sites.• Led a specialist engineering team delivering network, wireless, digital radio and LTE solutions for BHP sites globally in the production (OT) and safety systems space. • Built a highly effective project Design and Engineering team to support the restructure of the Technology function and delivered Operational Technology projects across the globe.• As the OT Technical Authority for BHP, I was accountable for the Standards and approved all design work for Fixed Networks, Wireless, LTE, DRS and a myriad of sub-functional systems such as CCTV, FMS, process networks, Tailings Dams and process water monitoring, site communications facilities, monitoring and management solutions. • My team provided the first set of comprehensive global standards for the Operational Technologies space that BHP has ever had, replacing multiple asset specific documents with a common framework and standardized equipment catalogs. As an example, this reduced the number of types of network switches used from 82 variants to 12 variants, reducing the cost of replacement and improving the life cycle of site equipment, enabling a significant reduction on initial capital and life cycle costs.• Responsible for uplifting BHP’s production infrastructure capability to support IoT and edge computing, cloud services, data analytics for production optimization, automated haulage and improved safety systems such as Driver Fatigue Monitoring.• Projects worked on include: OD Underground Wireless, OD DRS Underground replacement, OD Borefield monitoring and communications, Jimbelbar Wireless and LTE , GWN PCN and Wireless replacement, Secure IT over OT design for global in-pit mobility, DRS replacement for the Bowen Basin, PCN Network replacement at Olympic Dam.

Total purchased Maersk Oil with the transition starting on March 12, 2018. The Culzean construction and onshore commissioning phase followed by sailaway was completed and the Singapore phase of the project closed out in in Singapore in July 2018, the topsides and FSO have been successfully installed and offshore hookup is underway with first gas due in March 2019.My role was to lead a culturally diverse team of resources in the preparation and delivery of the engineering information sets and designs for the project across six construction sites and three global regions.• Leading the IM/IT team in Singapore for three topsides platforms and an FSO for the Culzean Field, a High Pressure-High Temperature development in the British sector of the North Sea. The Singapore project is located across six construction yards, presenting unique logistical challenges in managing the delivery of the data and document deliverables, including asset tagging and maintenance build components. The project met schedule for sail-away in June of 2018 and produced first oil in May, 2019.• The role is also responsible for the IT services for the project including technology delivery to the facilities under construction. In addition, I provide specialized telecommunications and control systems integration expertise to the EIT discipline engineers, including internal review of EPC design and build and commissioning efforts.

Information Manager for the Culzean Project Development team located in Singapore responsible for all engineering information management, toolsets and IT support. The Culzean project development is an ultra high pressure high temperature (UHP/HT) gas condensate development located some 145 miles East of Aberdeen in the UK sector of the Central North Sea.

My role was to lead a diverse team of resources in the preparation and delivery of the engineering information sets for the projects and leading the design of the telecommunications and IT systems for the design teams. The role operated between multiple offices in the UK and Norway and demanded a strong commitment to team building, conflict resolution and cross-cultural assimilation to effectively deliver the solutions.• I have been responsible for leading direct capital savings in excess of UK Pounds 350,000 on the Teddelthorpe Gas Terminal Freon Replacement project, due to improvements in process, operations and data management in the first 12 months of engagement with the project. The team has also met all project milestones for on-time delivery of packages to operations.• I have led the project IM/IT teams to successfully deliver the required design data and document assets for the Tomelliten Alpha and Freon projects. Reporting directly to the Project Managers, I manage the two project Information Management groups, who are responsible for the delivery of the entire scope of the Tommeliten Alpha Reuse project and TGT Freon Replacement projects. This comprises multiple toolsets, data bases and conventional EDMS integrated with an Intergraph SmartPlant data warehouse and SAP ERP systems.

This project built the largest acommodation and control topsides in the world. This is located in the Ekofisk field in the North Sea, providing hotel and central control facilities for the Ekofisk and associated fields.Reporting directly to the Project Manager, I managed a group of 30 people comprising professional engineers, IM and IT resources, who were responsible for the management and delivery of the entire scope of the Ekofisk 2/4L digital plant. This comprised multiple toolsets, data bases and conventional EDMS integrated with an Intergraph SmartPlant data warehouse and SAP ERP systems.

Leading the global Capital Projects team responsible for the transformation of the ConocoPhillips Project Development & Procurement group to a data centric environment for managing engineering data and documents globaly across all major capital projects within ConocoPhillips. Areas of expertise include Information Management, Product Data Management & Interchange, Document & Content Management, Business Process Re-engineering and associated technologies such as SmartPlant Data Warehousing, Systems Engineering, Process and data modelling. Team manager for the complete field telecommunications design across seven field platforms and a very large FPSO, including subsea fibre and process networks. The role was also responsible for the IM/IT teams in the design offices and was the primary facet in the implementation of the EDMS, Engineering Tools and Data Warehouse within the project to replace the existing stand alone DMS with a system capable of supporting engineering, construction and commissioning efforts for a 7 billion dollar project spread across six countries.
