Through this fellowship, I gain hands-on experience in public health, enhance my leadership skills, and contribute to meaningful community health improvements. Working in Horseshoe's Youth Program, Health Partner Program, Community Center Program, and Nursing Home has been able to help me develop and implement health initiatives, conduct outreach and education, and advocate for equitable healthcare access.

My team and I are working with Outride, a non-profit organization, to determine the effects cycling has on adolescent psychosocial wellbeing. This nationwide surveillance data is analyzed using RStudio and GraphPad Prism to determine adolescent's psychosocial wellbeing state, relative risk, and qualitative information before and after participating in Outride's Ride for Focus (R4F) program.

Ensured gym equipment was being used properly, student safety while using the gym facilities, maintained cleanliness of all areas of facility, and communicated regularly with students and athletes about rules/policies.

Throughout the 2023-2024 academic school year, I was leading and preparing fifteen interns to travel to Guatemala. In our 2-week stay, we provided medical attention to different low- and middle- income communities. The planning required for this trip included practicing vital-taking, learning about Guatemalan culture and their healthcare system, explaining and practicing what to do at the different stations during clinic days, planning Education Day, familiarizing ourselves with proper ettiquette for working with patients, and more. As a team leader, I continuously ensured interns stay on track (ie with deposits, scheduling flights, and trainings), relay information from team development coordinators, oversee fundraising events, and more.
