Computer Science at KS3, KS4 and, KS5 under the OCR specification

- Maintaining and developing the academic representation function of the Union; attending designated University Committees and working groups as required and agreed by the Executive Committee and the University;- Responsible for ensuring all elected course representatives have the opportunity for appropriate training to discharge their roles;- Providing ongoing support of academic student representatives at all levels;- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of trends within the University through regular attendance at regular meetings of course representatives;- Meet regularly with the University’s senior academic staff to communicate students’ views regarding academic and administrative matters; and- Work with the Advice Service to ensure that current issues being faced by students result in Union policy or campaign work where appropriate.

- Communicated regularly with the course representatives studying in the relevant Faculty of study with a view to relaying appropriate issues raised to the VP Education.- Attended and reported to Students’ Representative Council on the relevant termly Faculty Board meetings.- Participated in University Working Parties and other appropriate committees as agreed with the VP Education and President.- Participated and assisted in student representative training. Leading on the evaluation of the training and to make suggestions as to how it can be improved. -Liaised with relevant University and Union staff to develop the recruitment and retention of student representatives.- Hosted regular meetings with all course representatives.
