Building upon my two years as Business Development Coordinator, moving into the Sales & Marketing Specialist role has happened naturally. I am still focusing on lead generation while expanding into client retention, NPS efforts, event planning, and marketing support. As our sales and marketing team evolves I love being involved in a variety of projects from start to finish, as well as having the opportunity to take the lead.

In my role as Business Development Coordinator, I was involved throughout the entire lead generation process. I helped build connections through personalized messaging, educating myself and our team on the industries we support, and educating new clients on localization. I worked closely with our sales and marketing team to understand the needs of our audience and provide support in areas outside of outreach. Staying involved in networking, outreach, incoming requests, and marketing brought something new to each day and allowed for constant collaboration. Most often I was on LinkedIn, researching, attending events, crafting messaging, and conducting outbound and inbound sales efforts.

In my first experience B2B selling, I built upon the skills I had acquired through education and service industry work. I learned the importance of resilience in cold call outreach sales, how to stay self motivated, how to gauge new client interest and build trust quickly.

My time serving and bartending throughout college and for a time after taught me so much. From time management and organizational skills to social selling. I learned how to represent a brand, adopted new communication styles, and passed that knowledge onto new employees through my time as a trainer. I was able to see in tangible ways the power of teamwork. Most of all I learned how to spot needs and problems, and correctly prioritize them in an ever changing environment.
