Hi, I hope all is well. My name is Nicolas Fernandez. I am a first-generation Bilingual currently a rising junior in Bernard Baruch College majoring in Statistics and Quantitative Modeling - Data Science focus with a minor in Computer Science. I hold experience and interests in software languages, Trading markets, Finance, Leading, Quantitative research, Consulting, and Project Management.After recently graduating from CUNY Bronx Community College, I have excelled in opportunities due to my leadership, creativity, and visionary mindset. On campus, I was involved with various organizations such as the NYC Men' Teach (N.Y.C.M.T.), Accelerated Study in Associate Program (A.S.A.P.), the Initiative for the Blackstone Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Student Government Association (S.G.A.), and Men' Empowerment Network (M.E.N.).Off campus, I have worked with a variety of non-profit organizations and companies that thrive to give back to their communities with the work that they do. I also have interests in creative writing, private equity investing, trading and financial markets, financial planning, sports, and embarking in creative projects. I even started my own company with a classmate called ACUMEN, which is a platform that analyzes the performance level of effort and enjoyment of all the tasks on a users schedule and uses an algorithm to compute the ideal amount of time that should be allocated to each task.As a young man of color, I aspire to work as a Venture Capitalist or within the Private Equity industry with the aim of attaining a close to excellent career where I can give back to people in my community. In the near future I will be applying my efforts to secure an internship as a Quantitative Analyst.
