I hold a degree in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a specialization in Environmental Physics and Meteorology. Furthermore, I have an MSc degree in Sustainable Energy Technologies and Management from Brunel University, London, UK, where my dissertation’s subject was a building cooling system with the use of phase change materials (PCMs).Amongst my scientific and professional interests are renewable energy technologies, especially solar thermal systems, as well as energy savings in buildings. Since 2017 I have been a scientific associate of the Solar and Other Energy Systems Laboratory of NCSR “Demokritos”, where my main duties and fields of work are the test measurements of solar thermal collectors, domestic systems and hot water storage tanks, the calibration of scientific instruments and the participation in the implementation, assessment and optimization of concentrated solar thermal systems.Furthermore, I have worked in the past in an engineering company in the department of Buildings’ Energy Upgrade and I have attended and successfully completed seminars and courses regarding concentrated solar thermal systems, buildings with nearly zero energy consumption, tools and methods of calculating uncertainties in measurements and the designing programme Auto Cad.
