With over 20 years in the pharmaceutical business and formal training in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Gerontology, and Business, I am focused on pharmacological and nutritional approaches to chronic diseases that present as people age such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hormonal imbalances, musculoskeletal disorders, including my experience in anti-aging strategies.Broad technical drug discovery research experience including target identification and validation through high throughput drug screening, protein purification and molecular biology techniques, DNA sequencing, and in vitro/vivo modeling including developing surrogate biomarkers. Experience in managing and licensing intellectual property and training entrepreneurs from my experience as the Director of Technology Transfer within the University of North Carolina system.
