Working with GPA across various projects, I gained experience and knowledge ranging from working as a designer to drafter to package engineer, I have worked my way to discipline engineer. GPA Engineering has offered me variety opportunities to work across multi EI&C specific as well as multi-discipline, green and brown field projects, to strengthen my core basics and become a team player.

*QAFCO is the world’s largest single site producer of ammonia and urea. *QAFCO has the largest melamine plant in the middle east with a design capacity of 60,000 Mt. The Qatar Melamine Company produces five percent of the total Melamine produced worldwide.It was a 3 week training, where I had the opportunity to work with the system group engineers for two weeks and 1 week with the instrument team in the melamine plant.During the first two week with the system group, I was briefed about the HONEYWELL Experion 300C system, which is the latest controller in the market right now. Moreover, also learnt about architecture and hierarchy from plant to level to machine level system.In the last week of internship, I was mainly with the instrument department of the melamine plant. I got to see the whole process of making 99.8% pure melamine and the whole automation system of the bagging.

In my past role:I have oversaw electrical devices and managed operations to maintain compliance with safety protocols. I have correlated theoretical knowledge to evaluate the drawing and electrical connection of a project and organize on-going project’s operations. I have identified and resolved technical issues, installed software, and modified and adjusted hardware. I have tested and calibrated several instruments, maintained and updated customer service database, delivered superior customer service regarding order placing, and actively participated in job related field training. I have collaborated with the engineers to troubleshoot malfunctioning products.Following are highlights of my key achievements that I attained: Utilized ABB PLC with ladder logic for acquiring knowledge to make a working model. Overcome significant challenges associated with the linkage of PLC and SCADA and set up an UI.
