It is also the role of the Bus Driver to: guarantee that the bus is clean and in proper working condition at all times; determine and follow safe and efficient bus routes; ensure all children are in age appropriate child safety restraints; assist with the safe loading and unloading of disabled passengers; maintain all transportation records required by the company; ensure bus has all safety equipment in working order; and, evacuate passengers in case of emergency.

Currently serve on the Statewide training team for Drug/Violence prevention program called (D.A.R.E.). I serve as a mentor for the training team and am responsible for helping peace officers from across the country to become certified instructors in the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Program. The training sessions are 2-weeks of intense training in the curriculum, teaching techniques and classroom management. The D.A.R.E. program is a comprehensive elementary/middle school curriculum.
