Ste Dunn (he/him) is a creative and cultural leader in the North East having lead Northern Pride for over 5 years, supported the formation of Newcastle Creates, the cultural compact for the city, alongside his former work with Generator, the music talent development agency, and as a freelance producer for Curious Arts. In addition to Northern Pride, he is also chair of Rendez-Vous Dance, an LGBTQIA+ dance company. After delivering the name change launch of The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, (formally Sage Gateshead) Ste is now leading on the 30th Birthday programme for The National Lottery, to celebrate the impact lottery players have on the communities around us. One of his first activities as Director was to launch a new brand and firmly spell out Northern Prides aims and ambitions, under the titles of Protect, Promote and Provide. The new logo paid homage to one of the iconic attractions of the region, The Angel of the North, which was given the seal of approval by its creator, Sir Antony Gormley. The new look Northern Pride has been warmly received by the LGBTQIA+ community, supporters and businesses across the UK. On a personal level, Ste is strongly committed to improving education and awareness around LGBTQIA+ topics to ensure future generations are accepting of all people, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics, frequently speaking publicly and delivering LGBTQIA+ training courses with Northern Pride and Curious Arts.
