Synthesis and standardization of data and reporting for retail pharmacy.

Standardized the data flowing out of the pharmacy dispensing system and designed an ecosystem of reporting and dashboards organized against each vertical of the business. Delivered reporting and data visualizations working in lockstep with pharmacy operations, procurement, finance and sales to measure business performance, create forecasts and identify opportunity.• Developed KPI dashboards and presented weekly insights to finance, operations and executive teams.• Implemented an inventory management solution which provided weekly stocking recommendations and measured impact. The effort helped to improve kiosk utilization by 20% across 100+ locations.• Developed an interface to deliver contact lists to our vendor-based SMS solution which managed patient prescription reminders. This effort helped to improve refill rates by 30%.• Created and presented ROI and breakeven models to potential customers which quantified our value proposition. Managed a team of 8 developers in India to support data and reporting for the retail merchandising team, finance, retail and curbside operations. Served as a technical liaison between the business and IT by connecting with end users to conceptualize the business problem and deliver meaningful insights to decision makers across the organization.• Built and managed a solution for pricing 1000's of SKU's which interfaced with our corporate retail pricing system serving over 200 stores. The tool gave category managers time to focus on pricing strategy, added flexibility to product categorization, created an audit trail to manage vendor relationships, and improved price change times by 60%.• Automated a process to guide supply chain decisions around inventory movement. The tool took an hour of manual time out of the buyers process each day.• Created dashboards for retail store leaders to monitor labor allocation, identify high/low performers and communicate weekly results to finance.• Strategic advisor in our company wide transition to master data management (MDM).

Recruited and managed a team of 6 developers in India that reported directly to our retail merchandising team. Our primary responsibilty was to provide data and reporting to retail category managers, planners and merchandsing leadership.• Developed and managed dashboards designed to identify high/low performing groups within each supermarket category. The reporting ultimately served to refine the merchandising forecast process and resulted in a 12% increase in department wide productivity.• Designed a focused look into for each category manager to identify high/low performers down to the item level. These reports were tailored to the needs of the category and led to enhancements in our product categorization.• Served as a strategic advisor with our transition to a formal ERP system.

Reporting through the pharmacy business, I managed a team of 3 developers delivering reporting, data and analytics for Giant Eagle's chain of 200+ pharmacies. Our reponsibility was to provide data and reporting to pharmacy operations, third party reimbursement, reconciliation, procurement, compliance, marketing and executive leadership. • Developed dashboards to monitor pharmacy store, pharmacist and tech performance. Forecasts, budgets and targets were continually being enhanced with guidance from our head of operations.• Created a system for reporting both specialty and retail PDC (percent of days covered) to track chain-wide STARS ratings. The reporting tracked performance and identified patient level outliers.• Created a procurement contract master which provided drug purchase recommendations, monitored vendor pricing and created an audit trail to enhance vendor negotiations.• Built a system for tracking third party reimbursement against network rates. The system was primarily used as a tracking and negotiation tool when dealing with PBM’s. • Built a controlled substance monitoring tool which was used by our compliance team to identify potential diversions and audit purchase to dispense ratios.
