The Waimakariri District Council has a diverse property portfolio, incorporating operations sites (3 Waters, Roading..), community sites (parks, reserves, swimming pools, libraries, community halls..) and commercial sites (forestry, camping grounds, gravel quarries)..in excess of 970 sites.My primary role is to facilitate the acquisition or disposal of sites to support the various WDC activity asset owners. I'm also responsible for the three (3) yearly property portfolio review, whereby all properties are assessed to ensure they are still fit for purpose and if not, what are the alternatives - an alternative WDC use, redevelopment or disposal (either partial or in full).

Fixed term role with Darroch Limited project managing the structured closure of their New Zealand wide Crown Property Acquisition and Disposal business unit, consisting of contracts with Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) and Local / Territorial Authorities. Darroch acts as an Accredited Supplier for the acquisition and disposal of property (mainly) under the Public Works Act 1981 and other legislation frame work.Primary functions include a financial audit of recent contract revenue and the forecasting of revenue milestones and progress status associated with an 80+ property portfolio in disposal.Also responsible for the relationship / stakeholder management with various Crown Departments / Agencies including LINZ, Ministry of Education, Te Arawhiti (formerly Office of Treaty Settlement), Crown Law together with project management of various contractors and supplier (registered valuers, engineers, surveyors, trades, Councils..).Rationalisation and return of all Crown documentation is projected to be completed by the 31st May 2019. Thereafter I'll remain on a reduced capacity to provide continuity / wrap-around service for the new contract providers until mid-June 2019.
