I have during my career shifted back and forth between vendor and customer side, and I find clear advantages in both roles: As a consultant I have been at the forefront of new technologies and used these technologies in different environments - and as employed or manager in a company IT department, I have had the opportunity to consolidate the infrastructure with all its aspects and had a direct influence on the technology actually used to create value for the company and not least the staff and others who must use technology.In both roles I am able to deliver great value. I am focused in my work, good at working down in a complex problem to solve it, communicate well with users at all levels and loves to work to make stable and user friendly systems.With nearly 40 years experience in the IT industry, I have taken the journey from batch-based punch card solutions through to modern virtualized environments. It is my experience that this background often enables me to dive quickly into new technologies and use them wisely.I currently work as IT-manager in Roskilde Kulturservice A/S (the administrative entity in The Roskilde Festival Group), where I continously work to make better IT-solutions for employees, volunteers and all other participants at Roskilde Festival and other events.

This year I am once agian part of the management team for the security work at the Roskilde Festival. As deputy section leader, I am sharing the overall responsibility for that security in all aspects of the event is top priority and well documented - not at least to include authorities. A large number of employees are working in the Security Section throughout the year with scene security, medical preparedness, fire safety and all other security aspects that together make the Roskilde Festival to a safe place. During the execution of the festival, I am among many other things takings shifts as the festivals supreme authority and I am responsible for the running staff meetings with police, fire authorities, doctors, etc.Before I took over responsibility for security during the festival, I have since 1978 had all sorts of big and small tasks during the festival and during the festival year.

As an IT manager I was responsible for the overall IT infrastructure in Applus Denmark. Applus Denmark has 115 inspection sites covering the whole country. All inspection sites were (together with the headquarter and the operationscenter) tied together in a VPN system.My responsibilties were IT strategy, infrastructure including WAN-connections, all applications (in cooperation with system owners and external software companies) and negotiations and alignment with the danish outsourcing partner and the global Applus operationscenter in Spain.
