I am an experienced UX Researcher & Usability Specialist whose main work goal is to ensure that the end-user is always the starting point as well as a key player in the design of any feature, product, or service.My passion lies in uncovering and documenting the human-computer-interaction, and turning it into actionable insights that can fuel further design. The “computer” can be anything from early concept ideas to final products. Explorative research to uncover the users’ current and future needs and behaviors is also a tool of mine, and I use my skills in interviewing to ensure that the insights are unbiased and relevant for all stakeholders.I have 16+ years of professional experience with Usability, UX Research, and communication as primary domains in diverse contexts such as in the consultancy business, as self-employed, in the academic world, and for seven years in a corporate setting for Volvo Cars at their R&D innovation hub, UXCC, in Copenhagen. At Volvo Cars my work spanned from evaluating close-to-production Advanced Driver Assistance Systems over developing readability guidelines for the in-car displays to exploring future customer needs when riding in autonomous cars. The last two years I have been working as a dedicated UX Researcher at Nuuday during a transformation from working waterfall to fully enterprise agile. I am able to function as a flow-to-work resource, pitching in with my expertise wherever it is needed - across squads and tribes with a focus on the B2B customers.Over the years I have become an expert in quickly being able to understand complex designs and sketchy ideas and present them to end-users for evaluation in both quick, local tests as well as in global user studies that explore how end-users perceive and interact with the stimulus and the world around them.I am used to working both independently and closely with prototypers, interaction designers, product owners, and relevant stakeholders in agile teams, to make sure that the right thing is evaluated in the right way. A key part of doing research that makes an impact, is to be able to present the results in a way that is tailored to the audience. I know from experience which buttons to push to get the message through.
