Strand Consult have been in business since 1995 and count 170 mobile operators and other industry actors worldwide as customers. I frequently utilized my industry expertise and strategic insight on select project assignments in Europe, Americas and Asia for mobile operators, OEMs, network equipment vendors and corporations. Fundraised with Specialisterne teams in several countries and worked with participants from multiple European countries on European Commission supported projects, co-funded by the European Social Fund, Leonardo de Vinci and PROGRESS programs. Helped secure funding in 2013 from the Velux Foundations for the project “1000 Jobs in Denmark” with the aim to increase employment and inclusion in Danish workplaces.

Drove the creation of the Social Networking strategy for Connect which led to the definition of the Social Networking and Communities strategic objective for the solution business.

Major contributor to the formulation and development of the MVNO Strategy, customer & market segmentation, go-to-market model and solutions definition. Created a portfolio of solution offerings for MVNOs, including mobile services, content, billing, and Customer Lifecycle Management and the needed internal and external partnerships.

Responsible for starting Nokia’s content & apps download business (broadly known as “Download!” and succeeded by “Ovi Store”), creating an on-device content store aimed at driving the distribution and consumption of content and services on featurephones and smartphones. Download! shipped on hundreds of devices and was deployed in excess of 400 million Series40 and Series60 platform devices. Grew business from funding by Nokia’s Group Executive Board through solution definition and development, to a global organization creating, marketing and selling the solution across EMEA, APAC, China, North America & Latam. The role entailed global product and delivery platform management, business development and sales, content management and other business management.

I was a non executive director at Swedish start-up Mobispine AB from when it was privately held and through its successful initial public offering in the summer of 2007. Mobispine AB has changed name and is now traded at the Swedish exchange Aktietorget under the name Jojka Communications (www.jojka.nu) and the JOJK ticker.

Symbian was the joint venture formed in 1998 by Ericsson, Nokia, Motorola and Psion + later Matsushita, Siemens and Samsung, aimed at creating an industry standard operating system platform for smartphones a.o. rich mobile devices. I was Vice President responsible for licensing the Symbian software to device manufacturers and product creation partners globally. Worked with all Played a key role on the senior management team when the Symbian venture was formed in June ‘98 around the software assets of Psion Software that I had joined in 1997. Managed a global team with business development managers and pre-sales consultants in Silicon Valley, Tokyo and London. Defined the licensing scheme, commercial and legal framework, and drove and negotiated personally all agreements with Ericsson, Nokia, Motorola, Matsushita, Psion, Sony and other licensees.
