My role is now based on Analysis for agile projects, providing the link with the business, providing documentation, working with the e2e desginers and architects to assist with solution design. Analysis into complex issues that arise through to solution of problem and getting it resolved

Introduced System Testing into the online development part of our business, working regularly on site with the team in Lancaster, learning new systems & business processes.

Provided project management for several projects including a migration from an old legacy system to a new web based applicationRan resource planning for the COO team to include all of IT. Allowing the SMT to make decisions on projected resource requirements to fulfill their business needs for the financial year ahead. Involved Liasing with the SMT, business heads, business leads, IT leads, programme office to pull all the required information together.

Business Analyst in BT Directories working on systems to produce the Phone Book & provide telephone & advert data to customers via different medias.Worked on various projects from customer migration onto new system platforms, assisting in training new operational teams, creating new business processes, embedding the new system into several operational areas.Ran workshops, training, process mapping, re-engineering and managing difficult customer relations. Agile delivery methods utilised for implementation of an electronic order form for field sales to improve speed of order delivery to order processing reducing errors & improving efficiency.Implemented new processes within the BA team including document templates, design agreements and agreed processing practices with other IT teams.

Recruited to implement the user business trials process with the opportunity to expand the role to include business analysis and design. Key responsibilities include: requirements gathering, analysis, design, testing and business trials and playing a lead in software solutions.• Successfully lead the design and implementation of a new ‘Carrier Interface’, providing automated updates for transactions and carrier data, resulting in reduction of man hours and improved data integrity. Promoted to manage all national account customers’ system interfaces within the group. I was the IT contact for any Hallmark customer with system requirements in the UK.• Developed a new electronic sales order processing system with a major high street store to improve stock availability, driven by a reduction in stock room space allocation.• Appointed onto the steering team to provide business and systems knowledge for the clear-up process after implementation of JD Edwards. Over a 3 month period the team reduced the problems by 90%, improving data integrity and customer confidence.• Successfully migrated the 4 remaining largest accounts onto JD Edwards, ensuring that continuity of service was kept to a very high standard and no orders were delayed.

Promoted to manage the development and support of our in-house sales order processing system on networked UNIX systems, including 5 analyst / programmers.• Appointed onto the migration team for the implementation of JD Edwards WorldSoftware. I successfully implemented customer discount structures on advanced pricing, inventory management, invoicing, accounts payable and sales order processing.• Worked in conjunction with Arthur Andersen consultants as part of the implementation of JD Edwards WorldSoftware.• Introduced a helpdesk for the day to day support of the systems and users, allowing analyst / programmers to spend more un-interrupted time developing and testing, leading to a 20% increase in throughput.• Initiated a new solution for the major accounts for consolidation of ordering and invoicing across the Hallmark group. This reduced the customers’ administration by 20%.

Promoted to handle more responsibility, training new staff and deputising for the development manager.• Introduced, designed and developed an EDI module, specifically required to enable the company to gain a £10million national account.• Implemented the EDI module for 7 national accounts within the group. Successfully handled £50million invoices and £26million ordering, reducing costs to our customers and internally.

Recruited as part of a team of 3 people to develop and test on the in-house developed sales order processing system, written in UniBasic on UNIX. • Re-wrote sales order processing, resulting in an increased throughput.• Designed and wrote functionality to handle customisable invoices, despatch notes and re-order tickets, providing flexibility for customers.

• Worked in technical support, QA & development teams as part of Prime’s software development area.• Presented a technical paper at the international field support training at head office in the USA, providing development enhancements for the next software release, after 9 months in the company.
