There’s more to cultural sensitivity than smiling and shaking hands — your colleagues may have different customs and cultural norms, and they deserve respect and accommodation. Students who take PD8 learn how to navigate cultural.

As a Teaching Assistant and marker, I was responsible for the PD8 Intercultural Skills course and promoted intercultural competency to our students. I marked unit assignments and responded to student inquiries. I provided assistance for other WatPD courses through report and resume review/editing. I collaborated with the team to hire new candidates as part.

Coordinated and supervised weekly student recruitment information sessions led by various employers such as Google, Facebook, P&G and IBM wanting to hire co-op and post-graduate students. Interacted with over 35 different employers and stakeholders in a professional and friendly manner to create a memorable and pleasant experience for them and students..
