As of February 2nd I will enroll in the PLUS Retail's Aspirant-Ondernemersopleiding (aspiring entrepreneur programme) for the next 12 months to learn more about being an entrepreneur at PLUS Retail. In this programme I will deepen my knowledge about Strategic, Commercial, Financial and Operational Management as well as Leadership. In the meanwhile, I will cooperate with the entrepreneur and store management of PLUS 't Lam Dubbeldam in Dordrecht and I will be working on a store-specific project. After successfully finishing this programme I will start my own store as a franchise entrepreneur of PLUS Retail.

As part of Albert Heijn's Management Development programme, I started on May 23rd 2011 as Assistant Supermarket Manager Level 1 in a City Store in Breda (850m2, 60 employees). Exactly one year later, I was promoted to Assistant Supermaket Manager Level 2 in a Large Store concept in Oss (2350m2, 165 employees). Since January 2014, I am positioned in a 1500m2 Neighbourhood Store (125 employees) in Den Bosch. In all store concepts I am responsible for the total operational and financial results of the supermarket. Therefore, I have to control all in-store departments and am responsible for the coordination of all safety procedures. Above all, I stimulate, motivate, and direct my staff to make the difference for our customers. Next, interacting with customers, inspiring customers, and converting customers into fans of the Albert Heijn brand complete the description of my position.

At my department I am responsible for AH's store image. Therefore, I have to direct our stock and quality employees within my budget. Herein, quality and communication is key. Besides, I am responsible for our supply of daily grocery goods and adjustments in our store assortment. Another responsibility is the selection, training and support of new employees.

During the Summer, I work as a waiter (and sometimes as a kitchen help) at a beachpavilion in the southwest of The Netherlands.

Responsible for updating three company websites in order to create new leads.

Responsible for unloading trucks and processing return cargo

Responsible for the collection, selection and distribution of mail in the southwest of The Netherlands.

Responsible for supporting the Recruitment Team by among others directing new applicants, organizing an assessment center and an introduction day for new employees.
