As an assistant site manager, I have had the opportunity to work and develop my knowledge in the construction, house building industry, operating in two different business units on both traditional and timber frame build construction. While at RG Wilbrey Safety Consultants, I worked with Taylor Wimpey UK as my primary client, where my day-to-day role was to inspect, assist, support and advise multiple site management teams as well as the senior board of directors to create good working relationships and a positive health and safety culture. Key Responsibilities Included:· Carrying out regular site inspections, implementing the TW HSE Monitoring System; · Training and advising management teams on health and safety matters as well as promoting best practice initiatives;· Assisting project teams in the planning, implementation and completion of projects with regards to HSE controls· Investigating accidents and reporting issues in line with statutory health and safety regulations· Attending meetings with senior management including the board of directors to advise and plan on future projects as well as carrying out presentations on site performance and reoccurring issuesWhile working with RG Wilbrey, I was entrusted to assist in the training and development of the new Site HSE Advisor’s working in the South West where I mentored and shadowed the new staff to ensure that the HSE Monitoring system was implemented in a consistent manner.

As a Health and Safety Consultant at Keepmoat Group, I gained extensive knowledge of Health and Safety Systems and Construction Management Procedures by acting as an auditor across a variety of new build and regeneration projects. My role during this time was to travel around Scotland, Yorkshire, North England and East London to carry out half-day, Quarterly HSE Management System Audits, reviewing site operations, CDM Systems and HS documentation via a substantial auditing checklist template. This was fed back to the Keepmoat Group, in-house SHEQ Management teams with recommendations of trends and required improvement.
