Functional Responsibility: As Head of Platform Validation and Quality in ST-Ericsson I am responsible for the quality of all ST-Ericsson’s platform deliveries, securing the validation of all functionality, performance, stability and system aspects of ST-Ericsson’s products. This also includes driving the strategic work in the sector, defining development methodology, tools and unifying validation strategies for total ST-Ericsson, as well as improving efficiency at all sites. My sector is the competence center for ST-Ericsson when it comes to validation and quality of products. Leadership of this sector includes coaching the people in the organization to maximize their strengths and potential, using goal setting and follow up (inc bonus), talent management, salary setting and 3D career ladder. Organization: The organization, with 200+ employees is divided into 5 sites: Sweden (Lund), India (Bangalore), China (Beijing), Poland (Wroclaw) and US (Seattle), with a clear responsibility split. The low-cost strategy that we have implemented is very cost beneficial, also covering time differences and holiday differences.
